This is an interesting performance. I am not usually a huge fan of brass band groups, but I enjoyed this arrangement. The recording quality sounds excellent for the time period

For a very different arrangement of the same piece by the band, probably recorded at the same session or at least the same large value, try this one

They had given up with their own recording equipment and had bought in kit from Germany, and were obviously making the most of the microphone sensitivity they now had.
