This turns out to be "Ho Hum," music Dana Suesse, words Edward Heyman, copyrighted 1931. It was recorded at faster tempos by Annette Hanshaw and by Bing Crosby with the Gus Arnheim Orchestra, but the April 1931 recording by Ted Lewis (Columbia 2452-D) was clearly the source for Kandelaki (you can hear it on YouTube).
