Kamionsky, Oscar Isaevich (1869-1917) - was the Russian opera actor (baritone). During 1888-1891 he was trained singing in the Petersburg conservatory by K.Everardi, S.Gabelja and O.Palecheka. He perfected his skills in Italy where in 1892 he debuted at the "Bellini" theatre in Naples, then sang in Florence, and Athenes. In 1893 has returned to Russia. Acted on opera stages of Kharkov, Kiev, Rostov-on-Don, and Tiflis. In 1904-1905 he sang in the New opera in Petersburg (Tseretelly’s enterprise), in 1905-1908 in Zimin's opera in Moscow, then again went on tour in provinces, mainly with mobile troupes. In 1915 he had left the stage. On responses of press, he did not have equal ones on the Russian stage, especially in Figaro part.
